GVI's appliance wire is U.L. listed and conforms to the following U.L. styles: 18 gauge thru 10 gauge - U.L. 1230 and U.L. 1015; 8 gauge - U.L. 1231 and U.L 1028; 6 gauge - U.L.1232 and U.L. 1283. This 600 volt wire is rated at 105°C dry and 60°C wet and is moisture resistant. Our appliance wire is also CSA listed and conforms to CSA specification T-1. This wire meets or exceeds all Coast Guard requirements for electrical systems of 50 or more volts.
(246)
GVI's TMP is a tinned appliance wire which conforms to U.L. style 1426. This changes the temperature ratings to 105°C dry and 75°C wet. The tinning adds corrosion resistance for salt water environments.
(262)
SAE type GXL is a thin wall version of SAE type SXL. GXL meets SAE J1128 and Ford ESB MIL 85-B. Cross-linked polyethylene is a very abrasion resistant material. It has excellent oil and flame resistance and it resists battery acid and salt water. In addition, this 125°C rated wire will not melt when exposed to heat, thus it prevents short circuits. This is GVI's toughest wire.

GVI's boat cable is U.L. listed and conforms to U.L. style number 1426. Our boat cable is rated for 600 volts at 105°C dry and 75°C wet (6 gauge is rated 105°C dry and 60°C wet). This cable is moisture resistant. Boat cable is constructed with tinned copper conductors for added corrosion resistance. This cable exceeds all Coast Guard requirements for electrical systems of 50 or more volts. All sizes of boat cable triplexes come with Black, Green and White inner conductors. All sizes of boat cable duplexes come with Black and White inner conductors as standard. All boat cable comes with a white jacket.

GVI's bonded wire is constructed of standard automotive GPT conductors which conform to SAE J1128. These 60°C rated conductors are glued together to form a rip-type construction which allows for easy separation. This wire is available in the following color combinations: All duplexes-Red and Black; all triplexes-Brown, Yellow and Green; all quadruplexes-White, Brown Yellow and Green.

GVI's lamp cord is U.L. listed and CSA certified. Our 60°C PVC insulation conforms to the Underwriters Class 43 insulation specifications. The rip-type construction allows for easy separation of the conductors and one conductor has an identifying ridge for polarity checking. Lamp cord is available in Brown and Black. 18/2 SPT-1
